A lovely original watercolor painting from the 1950s, signed "Rachel 1952" depicting a rural scene, a horse and carriage ride in the countryside. The colors are beautifully vibrant (on the back it states that it was painted with hand ground pigments of soft color tones). The painting has been in storage for quite a number of years, so the colors have not faded. Beautiful countryside scene. Not sure where the scene is located; the paining was acquired from an estate of a San Francisco family, and the it was in their possession since it was painted. Possibly California. It is nicely framed and matted. The paper in the back has some wear. The frame is in a very good shape, it has a couple of marks on it (see photos) but I'm sure that can be polished.
