Hand-painted Lover's Eye vintage silver filigree pendant. This piece of jewelry is a one of a kind, hand-painted by me on a vintage piece of jewelry selected also by me. It's painted with acrylic paint and varnished for protection and signed on the inside of the pin. The pendant is 1 3/4 wide x 1 1/2 inch wide. It comes with a silver plated chain - 18 inches long.
"The lover’s eye is an 18th century variation on a portrait miniature of a secret love which typically displayed only the eye and eyebrow, sometimes a curl or two of hair or a bit of the side of the nose. Secret love tokens, only the lover and the beloved were aware of the identity of the individual portrayed." This piece comes with a certificate of authenticity in a gift box.
